A huge success with a jampacked University Theater - more than 850 strong audience - present for a lovely evening of music and culture under the Patronage of His Excellency the President of Malta Dr. Edward Fenech Adami. The Saint Lazarus Hospice Foundation teamed up with Saint Helen Musical Society of B'Kara, Malta, who produced a musical soiree encompassing Verdi symphonies, Mexican music, carnival of Venice vignettes, excerpts from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Rossini suites, Mambo and pop music plus features from movie blockbusters.
The band was 80 strong and included top solo singers and musicians such as Helen Micallef, Marylouise and Giorgina Arpa, Keith Camilleri, Ali & Liz, Caroline Attard, Renzo Spiteri, and Micheal Alfred Saliba. The audience donated the amount of Stg 600 towards the Saint Lazarus Hospice Foundation. The band also included two of our confreres, namely Confrere Francis Pullicino MLJ, who is the Secretary for the aint Helen Musical Society, and Confrere Joseph Lia MLJ. The host of the evening was none other than the Grand Priory's Marshal, Chevalier Miles Wilson KLJ, assisted by Ms. Doris Zammit. Truly a night to remember!
